- Duncan must fulfill a promise he made hundreds of years ago to an immortal named Kassim for saving a young boy's life and in return Duncan owes Kassim. Duncan stops an assassination attempt on on a president, and for doing so, the president grants Duncan anything he desires.Kassim tells Duncan that he would like for him to murder the president so one of his aides can take the throne.Duncan can't do it, and Kassim is shot during another attempt because the president figured out Kassim was in on it. Duncan asks the president to grant him the favor the president owes him by not killing his aide. The president refuses and kills him anyway. Kassim is pissed off that Duncan did not follow through on his word and kidnaps Rachel. In exchange for her back he has to fight him. Duncan spares Kassim's life and grabs Rachel back and then proceeds to kill the president for not following through on his word.
