My favorite Amanda episode. Damn, Joe can sing the blues - so talented.

Warning: Spoilers
Joe's new girlfriend is killed. He asks Duncan to help find the killer. Amanda is in town turning over a new leaf and acting as security to a rock star. She helps Duncan find the killer. It turns out the killer is an immortal, John Durgan, who now goes by the name, Armand Thorne. Duncan knows him from the past. He killed a school teacher and a priest. He stole a golden cross that belonged to the church. Duncan made a promise to the priest right before he dies that he would get the cross back one day.

This may be my favorite Amanda episode. I loved her here. I think maybe because she didn't have a scheme going on and wasn't getting Duncan into trouble again. I love that she supports Duncan and Joe. I love that she uses her thief skills in a good way to help Duncan. I love all of her interactions with Duncan. They were very sexy and fun together. She even looks more beautiful in this episode. I don't know if it was her hairstyle or make-up, but she looked dynamite.

Joe can sing. Holy crap this guy is an amazing blues singer! The actor sings the blues in real life. I believe he's pretty well known in that genre. So glad the show-runners made it work so that we got to see him sing on the show. Also, have to give the actor credit for his acting. He did a great job here.

I enjoyed the contrast between John Durgan of the past and the present Armand Thorne. He cleaned up pretty nicely. But what's inside is still ugly. He seems to be another immortal focused on beauty without realizing that true beauty comes from inside.

It appears Duncan was a frontiersman given his attire. Perhaps a scout, and escort, to travelers, and perhaps a fur trader. He reminds me of Hawk-eye in 'Last of the Mohicans.' Love when he got shot and his wound healed, the priest thought it was a miracle and Duncan went along with it.

Good fake -out plan by Duncan to trick Durgan into thinking he was still inside the church. What is that weird roar Durgan does? I guess it was to emphasize the man never changed inside. He was still a monster inside no matter his new look.

Solid episode. I gave it an 8/10.
