During the search for the outlaws, the wide shots show Mathews driving an Oldsmobile patrol car. However, the closeup shots show Mathews driving a Dodge, which is the vehicle he parks behind the panel truck in the last scene.
In a very early scene Dan is in HQ when motorcycle officers call cones in. He grabs desk microphone which is a round streamline design and talks into it. In next scene when he talks into microphone it's a different one that's boxey.
During the hunt for the outlaws, the weather continuously alternates back and forth. One moment the dirt roads are puddled while it's raining - the next moment they are dusty dry.
The radio emits a buzz after the microphone is keyed and held down. Two-way radio systems such as the one shown do not do this. If a microphone was held open, all that would be transmitted would be any noise picked up by the microphone.
A police motorcycle of the 1950's weighed almost 600 pounds. No loading ramp was shown for either the pickup or the delivery truck, and it would be impossible for the two men to lift it into either truck. In fact, the loading into the trucks was not seen.
