This is one of the best episodes of Highway to Heaven, and that is high praise given how amazing the series was. The actress playing Jane was a perfect fit, and the scenes where Landon plays the fiancee of his widow were some of the funniest in the entire series. If you want to feel good about live and listen to some beautiful piano music as well, this is the episode to watch.

Arthur Thompson died of cancer years ago. He was a very good man, so God sends him back to earth with a new face and new name, Jonathan Smith, as an Angel to help God do what God does best. Bring love into the world, and help people. On this assignment, he gets to revisit Jane Thompson, his earthly wife, who has no idea that Jonathan is really her Arthur. Jane is a lonely woman who just lost her best friend, and has a daughter living thousands of miles away,, that can't keep her promises that she will go visit Jane soon. While Jonothan rekindles his feelings for her, without telling her who he really is, Mark and Jonothan try to persuade Jane's daughter to keep her promises.
