Moses Gunn delivers a strong performance as former Negro League great Ted Tilley, who runs a concession stand for the Toros minor league baseball team.

The Toros are one of the worst teams and have been losing for a very long time. Attendance to their games is awful.

Jonathan and Mark are on assignment to help Ted. He loses his concession stand.

Jonathan convinces the Toros' owner D. W. Rogers to add Ted to the team to boost morale. He has a clause when he bought the team that Rogers had to keep on general manager Doc Brisby (played by Keenan Wynn who is an irascible, yet lovable figure) as long as the team has a winning season (breaks .500 win average).

Ted rallies the team after teaching them some tough lessons. They have 10 games left and have to win all 10 to have a winning season.

I don't want to give away the ending so you'll have to watch the episode to find out what happens. There is a love story between Ted and Mattie Taylor (played by Lynn Hamilton). And there's also some story devoted to Ted's grandson and the neighborhood kids which was nice.

If you like sports, especially baseball as I do, this is a must see episode!
