Hunter in trouble
Woodyanders30 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Hunter (strong work from James Sikking) shoots a 14-year-old boy who was attempting to rob a convenience store while off duty. Belker (a fine Bruce Weitz) tries to protect senior citizens from a violent mugger. Buntz (the fantastic Dennis Franz) goes to bat for Hunter.
Hunter gets to show a more humane side as he attempts to apologize to the boy's brother and shows tremendous grace under pressure while being interrogated by internal affairs. Moreover, it's nice to see Goldblume (sturdy Joe Spano) comfort Hunter in the men's room during a heart to heart chat with him. It's also a hoot to see Belker working undercover disguised as an old man. Davenport (wonderful Veronica Hamel) has a great confrontation scene with Wachtel (the marvelous Jeffrey Tambor) in court. Last, and certainly not least, Megan Gallagher makes a memorably sexy first appearance on the show as foxy lady cop Tina Russo.
