- "Tiger," a female underground agent, is arrested while trying to document some secret German bases and is held in Paris for questioning. So Hogan and LeBeau become stowaways aboard Klink's staff car and head for Paris to free her.
- This is the first part of a two-part episode.
At the start, Klink is in front of the prisoners assembled in the compound, making an announcement. He has decided to take a week's leave in Paris. Newkirk asks Klink to send postcards. Klink asks the men to pick the most sadistic guard to remove from the camp for a week. Hogan gets the men together for a discussion, and they pick Schultz. Schultz objects, and goes back and forth between Hogan and Klink regarding how tough and mean he is. Klink says that they have decided, and Schultz will go to Paris as Klink's chauffeur. Hogan says that he hopes that Klink comes back with a good case of measles.
In the barracks, Hogan says that Underground agent Tiger is coming in to help with a mission. Hogan is in his Class A uniform with tie, waiting for Tiger, knowing that Tiger is a beautiful female agent that he has had contact with before. Shortly later, Underground agent Bouchet comes up through the tunnel. He says that Tiger was compromised. She has been captured and taken to Paris for interrogation by the Gestapo. Hogan wants to go to Paris to get her out. Hogan asks Newkirk to print some (fake) French money.
Hogan and LeBeau get on top of Klink's staff car with the luggage for the trip to Paris. Schultz catches them and wants to report it, but Hogan talks Schultz out of it. Klink gets in the car, and Schultz drives the car (with Klink, Hogan, and LeBeau) to Paris.
When they get to Paris, the car stops in front of a hotel, and Klink gets out. Hogan and LeBeau get up from underneath the car. LeBeau gets in the car, and says that Schultz left his keys. Hogan tells Schultz that if something happens to the car, that the Gestapo commandeered it, knowing that he was about to take off with it. Hogan then gets in the car, and LeBeau drives it off, with the luggage still on the roof. Klink comes out of the hotel, and sees that the car is gone. He wants to know what happened. Schultz tells Klink that the Gestapo took it.
Later, Hogan is in his hotel room, seemingly waiting for something. Colonel Backschneider of the Gestapo, in civilian clothes, along with his assistants Captain Muller and Corporal Sontag, barge into the room, and try to arrest Hogan. Hogan tells Backschneider that he is Sergeant Frank Durkin, who escaped from STALAG 13 a while ago. He stayed in Paris and worked his way up the black market. Muller finds some money; Hogan says that he knows where they print it. Backschneider flips the money, listening to it, and says that it is real. Hogan tells Backschneider that he can help make the money grow. Backschneider says that eventually he will have to shoot Hogan, but for now, they will talk. Backschneider wants to know about his black market connections.
Bachschneider tells Hogan that the black market exists. Everything that exists can be put to use. Backschneider wants to check on Durkin/Hogan's story. He says that the Kommandant of STALAG 13 is in Paris on leave. It is his business to know what is going on. Backschneider calls Klink; Klink thinks the call is about the car, but it is not. Backschneider asks about Sergeant Frank Durkin, escaped from STALAG 13 on December 14, 1942, and not yet found. Klink does not know about him. He tells Klink that he should not have lost the car, it was stolen, the Gestapo did not take it. Sontag drags in LeBeau; LeBeau has the keys to Klink's staff car. Backschneider is into phrenology, the reading of bumps on people's head. He says that he may program the bumps on Hogan's head.
Hogan asks Backschneider about Tiger. He says that she was one of his contacts. Backschneider says that she was arrested as an Underground agent; he says that Hogan/Durkin can talk to Tiger alone. He takes Hogan/Durkin to her cell. He tries to listen in while in the next room on a listening device that he has planted in the cell. Hogan finds the microphone, and disables it. Hogan asks Tiger about Backschneider, asks about his connections to astrology, and who he goes to for astrological readings. Tiger says that he goes to a woman (no name), in a White Russian Cafe. Backschneider then comes into the cell, Hogan quickly reattaches the microphone Hogan asks Backschneider what month he was born in. Hogan wants to use this piece of information to his advantage.
Hogan and LeBeau go to the White Russian Cafe, and meet a woman named Marya, who is a White Russian spy. Hogan tells her that he wants a woman sprung from the Gestapo; Marya says that she knows about Tiger. Marya asks Hogan for locations of fighter bases. LeBeau makes passes at Marya; Marya is somewhat receptive. LeBeau then gives Marya a hug, and Hogan and LeBeau leave the cafe. As they are leaving, Klink and Schultz come into the cafe. Klink sees Hogan and LeBeau, and tells Schultz to get after them. They go out the back door. Backschneider comes in and sees Klink. Klink says that he saw some prisoners from STALAG 13, LeBeau and Hogan. Backschneider does not believe him.
Outside, LeBeau asks Hogan if they can do it, rescue Tiger from the Gestapo. After some discussion, Hogan says 'I should have brought Carter.'
At the end, Kinch is in the tunnel, on the switchboard. He says that he has Klink on the phone. He gives the phone to Newkirk, who impersonates an officer. Klink wants to talk to Hogan; Newkirk tells Kinch to get Hogan in Paris, What if he is not in? He bloody well better be in. Kinch connects to Hogan and quickly explains that Klink is on the phone. Hogan talks to Klink, pretending to be back at STALAG 13. Klink seems to be satisfied that Hogan is there. Hogan asks about the staff car. Klink hangs up the phone, and says that he knew about it being stolen.
