A witty script
kfo949417 September 2014
In this humorous episode, Hogan has received word about an Allied probing raid that is to happen the following evening. When they send LeBeau out to look over the area where they planes will be flying, LeBeau sees that they have reinforced the area with 88 millimeter guns that will tear the planes apart. But by the time LeBeau gets back, the Allies have went on radio silence. Hogan has to come up with a plane to destroy the guns.

It just so happens to be around Adolf Hitler's birthday and Hogan makes the commander of the gun-placement believe that he has orders from Berlin for a party. The party is just a diversion so that the Heroes can hopefully sabotage the guns. But time is of the essence.

This was a witty script and very well done by the cast. It was strange seeing Howard Caine playing Major Keitel, in this early show, since he will soon play the Gestapo reoccurring character, Major Hochstetter, to perfection. Overall this was an entertaining show that was enjoyable to watch. It is hard to make Hitler's birthday funny but somehow it was done in this script.

One Blooper noted

When Hogan asks his men to make the uniforms for him, and Lebeau he says to make the uniforms "Infantry Enlisted men" for a change. That phrase means, he wants uniforms that are not officers uniforms. An enlisted man is not an officer, which would have been Privates, Sergeants, and Corporals. But he ends up being a Captain, and Lebeau is a Oberman, as Hogan called him, then he said he made him a Corporal so even then, Lebeau would have been considered an enlisted rank but not Hogan's . A Captain would not be considered an "enlisted" man.
