- Hogan takes Kinchloe to Paris to visit a friend of his who might help them get plans for the defense of Paris.
- French resistance fighter Maurice Dubois arrives at Stalag 13 to inform Hogan that Hitler has plans for the defense of Paris in case the Allies arrive, which entails the total destruction of the city by blowing up every building in the city. He also tells them that General Hammerschlag has the plans as well as where all the explosives are hidden. However, Hammerschlag only trusts one person, a so-called mystic named Kumasa who is really an expatriate Amercan named Carol Dukes, who went to high school with Kinch. Kinch is then asked to go to Paris to try to persuade her to help the allies, despite her ambivalent feeling about the U.S. due to all the prejudice she experienced in her homeland. Can Kinch and Hogan convince her to help them out or will she sell them out to the Germans?—Brian Washington <Sargebri@att.net>
- At the start, Underground agent Maurice duBois comes in the tunnel. He tells Hogan and the men that General Hammerschlag is in charge of Paris. He has plans to blow up Paris when the Germans evacuate it. He also says that Hammerschlag has one weakness; an astrologer name Kumasa, that he confides in. DuBois then says that he has come here go get Kinchloe, who went to high school with Kumana, when she was known as Carol Dukes. Hogan hatches a plan.
Klink calls Schultz into his office. Klink has been chosen as German Soldier of the Month. Klink is going to Paris, and Schultz is driving.
Schultz then goes to the Barracks and tells Hogan that he is going to Paris. Hogan tells Schultz that he is also going to Paris on the roof of the staff car. Schultz knows nothing. Schultz asks Hogan to guess why Klink is going to Paris. Hogan says that Klink is German Soldier of the Month. Schultz asks how did he know? LeBeau says that they chose him.
Klink gets to Paris and goes to a club. Hogan and Kinch come out of the top of Klink's staff car, being covered with a tarpaulin on the way. After a short delay, Klink tries to get into the club. Kinch is dressed as a doorman at the club. Klink does not recognize him. He tells Klink that the club is closed. While they are talking, Hogan sneaks in the door. Klink gets agitated. Hogan, dressed as a worker there, throws a bucket of water on Klink; not in his face, but on his uniform. He says that throwing it in his face would be too much.
Kinch goes up to Kumasa's room. He surprises her. After a short talk, she recognizes him as Ivan Kinchloe; he remembers her as Carol Dukes. Kinch tells her what he wants - Plans for blowing up Paris from Hammerschlag. Kumasa does not want to do it; she remembers Kinch as shy. Kumasa tells him that she gets Hammerschlag in contact with Prince Bismarck through a seance. She arranges to have one. Hammerschlag comes in and sees Kinch and Hogan with Kumasa. Kinch tells Hammerschlag that Hogan is a mute, but talks when in contact with Prince Bismarck. Hammerschlag makes an appointment for a seance that evening. Kinch tells him to bring the plans for the defense of Paris.
Kumasa is in the lounge singing a song. Hogan will be at the seance. His plan is to replace the real plans with fake plans; give the plans to DuBois to copy, and bring them back before the seance ends.
Hammerschlag comes to the scheduled seance site. He says that they are going to go to his office, where the plans are. Hogan still thinks that they can run the copies off in time.
Outside, Klink says that Hammerschlag is an old friend from the war college, when Klink was a colonel (even at that time) and Hammerschlag was a First Lieutenant. Klink asks Hammerschlag if he remembers him as he is leaving the club; Hammerschlag essentially ignores him. Hammerschlag takes his staff car to his office; duBois follows on a bicycle.
Kinch eventually convinces Kumasa to join their side. At a conference table, Kinch turns out the light over the table (as he does so, another production light turns on). Kumasa says that the window is to be open exactly 4 inches, and gives other requirements. She then puts Hogan in a trance; Hogan pretends to talk to Otto. Someone bumps the table and the plans drop on the floor; they are replaced by fake plans. Hammerschlag is amazed that they are on a first name basis. Hogan insults Hitler while talking to Otto. Hammerschlag tells them to stop, as there may be listening devices. Hogan has some small-talk conversations with Otto. While this is going on, duBois takes the plans away and they are copied. After a while, duBois brings the plans back. Hogan asks Otto about the plans; 'Otto' says that he would not change a thing. Hogan then gets upset at Otto; Kumasa slaps him out of the trance. The plans get switched back. Hammerschlag takes them out. Before he leaves, Kinch kisses Kumasa; Hogan sees this, and says that he is going to go back and talk with Otto.
At the end, back in Klink's office, Schultz tells Hogan not to disturb him after the miserable time they had in Paris. Klink tells Schultz to give Hogan 30 days in the cooler, and put himself in with him. Hogan says that he showed up at the wrong time; Hogan would have given him a month in the cooler.
