- When the gang's hidden cache of money - needed to purchase a secret map - goes up in smoke, the men of Stalag 13 must come up with a way to replace the cash - and decide to pull off a bank heist in the nearby town.
- At the start, Hogan is in his office when there is a big explosion. Kinchloe comes out of the tunnel, and says that there is a big tunnel collapse. He asks Newkirk what Carter put in the bottle marked 'furniture polish', Newkirk says that it was nitroglycerin; Kinch said that he found it out the hard way. He says that the radio is broken, and can't be fixed for a few days. Hogan says that they are getting a message from the BBC in a couple of hours, and he needs a radio. Just then, Schultz comes in and says that he heard a BOOM BOOM. Newkirk and others try to imitate what it sounded like; Schultz is not amused. He says that he lost a 3-day pass because of them, and wants nothing to happen. He then leaves. Hogan says that the only radio now in camp is in Klink's office. He is going to convince Klink to tune into the BBC.
Hogan, Kinch, Newkirk, and LeBeau are planting flowers outside of Klink's office. They put on an act that Klink hears through an open window; this gets Klink to turn the radio on and tune into the BBC. Kinch hears the radio and copies down a message. Back in the barracks, he decodes it and says that there will be a drop at point A23. That night, they go out for the drop, signal the plane, and the plane drops a package; they take it back to camp. The package is money to be delivered to a Ludwig Strasser in exchange for a map. Just then, Schultz comes, with enough warning that Hogan says to hide the money; Newkirk puts it in the stove. Klink and Schultz come in, and Klink says that lights out was supposed to be 30 minutes ago, and wants to know why the lights are still on. Hogan says that it is a celebration in memory of Attila the Hun. Klink ultimately says that it is Schultz's fault for not enforcing lights out, so he tears up his 3-day pass, lights it with a match, and throws it in the stove. After Klink and Schultz leave, Newkirk opens the stove to find the money is burned. Hogan asks where they are going to get another 100,000 Marks.
Hogan goes to Ludwig Strasser's room, masquerading as a plumber. Strasser tries to slam the door on him, but Hogan stops it, and gives the correct code to Strasser. Strasser asks for the money, Hogan asks for the map. Strasser says that he will give him the map when he gets the money. He also says that the map is not there, but he can get it in 5 minutes if he has the money. Hogan says that he will be back. Strasser then asks Hogan to fix a leaky faucet while he is there, but Hogan does not fix faucets.
The next day, Hogan, Newkirk, and LeBeau are outside Klink's office working on the flowers. Newkirk purposely shovels dirt into Klink's office through a window. Klink calls them into his office. He sends Newkirk to solitary in the cooler. Hogan asks why not send both to solitary, so Klink send LeBeau there also. He then sends Hogan to solitary also. Schultz takes them to the cooler. As soon as Schultz leaves, they leave the cooler through a window.
Later, Hogan, as Herr Beyler, and Newkirk as his assistant, go to the Brinksmeyer Bank in town dressed in civilian clothes and pretending to be businessmen who want to open up a branch in town. They start looking around the bank; one thing that they see is the brick wall at the back of the bank vault. Herr Brinksmeyer, the owner of the bank, starts talking to them. Hogan asks him about the cash on hand and bank security. Brinksmeyer then says that they could cash a check for 100,000 Marks, that there is a police station across the street, and a machine gun in the balcony. Hogan then asks about bank calendars, and Brinksmeyer says that they give one out every year with a different picture. Hogan and Newkirk then leave.
Hogan goes in a restaurant, still in civvies, and sits down. Schultz is there, but Hogan does not see him. Schultz sees Hogan, but does not believe it. He goes to Hogan and says he looks like a prisoner that he knows; Hogan denies it. Schultz then goes back to his seat. Newkirk then comes in, and Schultz sees him. He comes to the table again; Hogan tells Schultz that he is attracting attention. LeBeau then comes in and sits down. Schultz wants to know why they are there when they are supposed to be in solitary. Schultz says that he is going to call the police. Hogan refers to a pass, asking Schultz if he got another one; Schultz did not, so he might be the one in trouble. Schultz runs out. LeBeau says that he got a copy of the plans to the bank. There is an apartment building next to the bank that was built before the bank. The outer wall of the apartment is the back wall of the bank vault. Hogan asks who lives in the apartment, and LeBeau says that it is a Mady Pfeiffer, and she lives alone. Hogan says that she will not be alone tonight.
Hogan goes to the apartment, and Mady lets him in. He says that he is a secret admirer, and brings flowers and wine. He sits down on the sofa with her, and asks for coffee. As she is off to the kitchen getting the coffee, Hogan lets Newkirk and LeBeau in, and sends them to the bedroom. Hogan then puts the radio on loud to one of Hitler's speeches. As he does this, Newkirk and LeBeau move a vanity and cut through wood behind it. Hogan then puts on loud music. Mady hears a noise, which is actually Newkirk and LeBeau chiseling through the brick wall, and Hogan says that she is imagining things. Hogan gets Mady to drink several toasts; he switches glasses with here so she gets the drinks and he gets nothing. Mady finally passes out on the sofa. Hogan tells Newkirk and LeBeau to get going. They finally get through the wall. LeBeau goes in, Hogan says take 100,000 Marks. LeBeau asks for more, but Hogan says no, then says to take 1000 more. They leave the apartment; Hogan tells Newkirk and LeBeau to go back to camp, he will meet them in solitary. He then leaves the 1000 Marks with Mady, who is still out cold, kisses her, and leaves.
At the end, the next day Klink goes to the cooler with Schultz, opens the door, and sees Hogan, Newkirk, and LeBeau there. When asked about his stay, Hogan says that he would not recommend it to friends. Schultz says that they missed big excitement, there was a big bank robbery, but they caught the robber. He went back to deposit the money in his own account from the bank he stole it from. Hogan, Newkirk, and LeBeau leave, leaving Schultz in the cell. They close the door and Schultz can't get out.
