- TriviaIn the scene that begins with LeBeau and Carter picking up litter outside of Barrack 2, two POWs enter Barrack 2 just prior to Col. Hogan and Newkirk exiting. The first POW is actor Roy Goldman (uncredited) who is a regular background POW and later was a regular on M*A*S*H (1972).
In this episode, Goldman plays his regular 'background POW' role, but also plays the role of a corpsman in London, standing behind Maj. Bonacelli towards the end of the episode.
- GoofsAs LeBeau is baking the pizzas Newkirk begins slicing one of them with a 12-inch carving knife, the type used to slice a Thanksgiving turkey, while Schultz watches. For obvious reasons POW's would never be allowed to have such a weapon. And even though Schultz is preoccupied with the pizza, such a large and dangerous weapon would be a glaring violation.

An enjoyable episode
Vito Scotti returns as our lovable Italian as he resumes the part of Major Bonacelli. Of course the Major is in the Italian army but is working for the Allies. But things have not gone right as Major Bonacelli has had to flee Italy when the Gestapo found his radio. Behold, he lands at Stalag 13 and is just so needed for a mission to get a look at the German new guns that are guarding local towns.
In the mean time, Klink has no idea that the Major has been listed as a traitor. So when Bonacelli arrives at the camp, Klink still believes that he is a Commandant in the Italian army. You can guess who is going to show the Major the guns.
This is a fast pace episode that has all the needed material for an enjoyable episode. The script was fresh and the jokes were new. There even is a leg-slapping funny scene when Klink thinks he is the reason Bonacelli is taking pictures. Nice to see this enjoyable episode so near to the ending of the season. Good watch
