- An Italian officer helps Hogan photograph a new German anti-aircraft gun.
- Hogan's crew have been tasked to get information about Germany's newest anti-aircraft guns, some of which are positioned at a nearby town. However, neither the Heroes nor any underground group have been able to get near the well-guarded guns. Then, a new opportunity arises when Major Bonacelli, Commandant of an Italian POW camp who was previously recruited by Hogan, arrives at Stalag 13 fleeing the Gestapo who have discovered him to be a spy. Bonacelli's only goal is to escape to Switzerland but, the smooth-talking Hogan convinces him that Klink is unaware of his traitor status. Now it is up to the Major to persuade Klink to provide an inspection tour of the gun emplacements.—Harry Tumilson
- At the start, Kinchloe and Newkirk are on the radio with London regarding new German antiaircraft guns. Newkirk grabs the microphone and starts to talk to the female sergeant in London. She seems put off and tells him that they got their wires crossed with the BBC. Some of the new guns are in Italy. Hogan some in, and asks about Major Bonacelli. Kinch tries to get him on the radio; when he says 'Come in, Major Bonacelli', Bonacelli comes in the tunnel and says that he is here. Hogan asks him if he saw new anti-aircraft guns in Italy, Bonacelli says no. Newkirk and Carter come in after doing recon work in Hammelburg; they say that they did not see the guns in Hammelburg. Bonacelli wants to go to Switzerland; he said that the Germans caught him, so he had to get out of Italy fast. Hogan says that he will check with Klink to see of Klink has heard anything on Bonacelli; if not, then Hogan will ask Bonacelli to go to town with Klink to take pictures of the guns.
Later, in the barracks, LeBeau is cooking pizza. LeBeau says that Bonacelli has 1 pair of underwear filled with salami, and 4 pairs of socks filled with cheese. Schultz comes in, sees LeBeau cooking and wants some pizza. Schultz asks LeBeau why he is cooking pizza. LeBeau says that they are celebrating the birthday of Leonardo da Vinci. Hogan comes out of his office, and Schultz leaves with some pizza. Bonacelli comes out of the tunnel under the bunk, tastes the pizza, and says that it needs more garlic. Hogan tells him that Klink has nothing on him yet. Hogan tells the men and Bonacelli that the plan is for Bonacelli to come in through the front gate and have Klink take him to Hammelburg to see the new anti-aircraft guns.
Hogan goes to Klink's office; Klink says to state his complaint and leave. Hogan asks him why he think he has a complaint. After Klink's answer, Hogan says he has a complaint. The censors have gone too far; Hogan got a letter from his mother, the same letter that he sent her earlier, with many words cut out of the paper. He tells Klink that the letter said many good things about Klink.
Schultz comes into the office, and says that Bonacelli has arrived, and wants to see Klink. At first, Klink does not remember him Bonacelli is in the front office talking to Hilda, and makes a pass at her. Bonacelli then comes into Klink's office, and starts to butter up Klink. He says that before their first meeting, the only thing that he put in the cooler was wine. Hogan starts to leave; Klink asks Bonacelli if he remembers Hogan. Bonacelli hesitates, and then says yes. Hogan makes an Italian joke; Bonacelli says that something like that in his camp would get him 2 days in the cooler. Hogan says that if there is good wine there, it is worth it. Hogan asks Bonacelli about the 'secret' new anti-aircraft guns. Bonacelli has not seen them, even though some of them are supposedly in Italy. Klink invites Bonacelli to go to Hammelburg to see the guns, and then go to the Hoffbrau for a lunch of sauerbraten. Bonacelli does not care for sauerbraten; he says that German food can be deadlier than the guns. Hogan and Bonacelli then leave Klink's office.
Klink takes Bonacelli to see the guns. Klink tells him that this is the latest anti-aircraft gun, and says that plans will drop like flies. Bonacelli is secretly taking a picture of the gun, and drops the camera. Klink sees it on the ground, and asks Bonacelli what is going on. Bonacelli says that he wants to take a picture of Klink by the gun. Bonacelli starts to take the picture; Klink says to be sure to get his good side, and turns his head. Bonacelli moves the camera, and takes a picture of the gun, not Klink.
Back at camp, Kinch gets a message saying that they can send Bonacelli to England. Just then, Major Hochstetter come in the gates in his staff car with one guard. He asks Schultz where Klink is; Schultz says that he is in town. Hochstetter says that there is a traitor in the area. Schultz says that Klink is at the Hoffbrau having lunch with Bonacelli; Hochstetter says that Bonacelli is the traitor. Hogan hears this, and senses trouble. He tells Carter to get the piece of paper off of the tire of Hochstetter's car; Carter does not see any paper. Hogan then tells Carter to puncture the tire. Carter then takes the stick that he uses to pick up papers, and punctures the right rear tire of the car. Hochstetter does not see it, and drives off with the tire going flat.
At the Hoffbrau, Klink and Bonacelli walk in. Klink kisses the barmaid Gretchen and introduces her to Bonacelli; they then take their coats off and sit down. Klink orders 2 orders of sauerbraten; Bonacelli would rather have something else, so he orders weinerschnitzel. Newkirk in civilian business suit looking like Gestapo opens the back door and gets the cook to go outside. It is unknown what happened to the cook, but Newkirk, Hogan, and LeBeau come into the kitchen. LeBeau is dressed like and acting like the cook; he starts cooking weinerschnitzel. Gretchen gets food from the kitchen and takes it to the table. When she gets to the kitchen window, she sees Hogan and is surprised. Hogan tells her that they are Gestapo, and that Klink is under suspicion. Hogan writes a note, and puts the message in the weinerschnitzel, and Gretchen take it to Bonacelli. Bonacelli sends it back, says he wants eggs on top. Hogan says to tell them that they are out of eggs. After discussing the food with Klink, and trying to switch food with him, Bonacelli sees the note, and decides not to switch the food. He reads the message without Klink seeing it, and goes to the Kitchen.
Just then Hochstetter arrives in front of the Hoffbrau with the bad tire. He orders the guard to change the tire while he goes inside. Hogan, Newkirk, and Bonacelli go into the kitchen cooler. Hochstetter asks where Bonacelli went, and LeBeau, without exposing his face, says that he went out the back door. Hochstetter and Klink run out the back door. After they leave, Hogan, Newkirk, and Bonacelli come out of the cooler and go out the front door. As Bonacelli is leaving, the waitress stops him and says that Klink did not pay the bill and asks who is going to pay the bill. Bonacelli gives her some money. Outside, Hogan wants to know where Bonacelli is; he then walks out saying that he had to pay the bill. Hogan has Bonacelli tell the guard that Klink wants him inside. The guard goes inside; Hogan, Newkirk, and Bonacelli get in the car and drive off. Hochstetter sees them driving off; Hochstetter and Klink get into Hochstetter's car, and Hochstetter tells the driver to follow them; the driver tries to tell him that the tire is not yet changes, but Hochstetter does not care. The driver gets in and drives the car off while it is still jacked up with the flat tire still on it.
At the end, London is on the radio, Goldilocks calling Papa Bear. Bonacelli has arrived in London, and is talking to Kinch on the radio. Bonacelli tells him that he has an acute case of weinerschnitzel. Bonacelli will send them a real Italian dinner.
Back at the camp, Klink is on the radio talking to Lieutenant Bergman regarding the search for Bonacelli. He tells Bergman to tell Corporal Langenscheidt so search an area. Just then, Hilda brings a message to Klink from Bonacelli. It has a copy of the picture of the gun that Bonacelli took; a good picture of the gun, but only half of Klink shows. Klink says that not only is Bonacelli a traitor, he is a lousy photographer. Hogan wants one for his wallet.
