When LeBeau is talking to the dog, trying to get it to leave the car, the dog is really looking at a trainer just off-screen to the left of the camera, waiting for a signal. Also notice that the dog is panting hard. Even though it is set in the middle of winter, the lights on the stage can get very hot. This is what is causing the dog to pant.
