The first episode in which Wilson uses the "Tim Taylor" grunt. (Season 1, Episode 15).
This episode gets its title from the famous psychiatrist, Carl Jung.
Early in this show, Randy uses a "Nyack whisper" (old vaudevillian term for a whisper loud enough for the entire viewing audience to hear) to tell Tim that Brad is indisposed - he got his necktie caught in the zipper of his trousers - and can't come downstairs to greet Jennifer. Tim to the rescue! - by helping Brad get his tie freed and showing him how to tie the "complicated" four-in-hand necktie knot. The four-in-hand knot was an American invention, simple to the extreme, as a quick alternative to the more-complicated Windsor knot from the days of Prince Edward - later to become King Edward VII (1901-1910) - and favored by English nobility. It's easy to tell the difference - the Windsor is a perfect triangle at the neck, whereas the four-in-hand knot is an offset triangle, either to the right or to the left depending on the wearer's handedness.
