Today's Tool Time is being filmed on location in the Taylors' bathroom. Unfortunately, Tim underestimated the size when bringing the crew over. So finally they set up the shot, and Heidi has her little 15 seconds of fame, before Tim and Al can at last begin their segment on water conservation. Installing various water saving gadgets in your toilet or, even better, buying a new toilet: the Binford 6100 series comes recommended...as they make EVERYTHING. Al points out that the only toilet better and more water conservative is the one on the space shuttle which uses no H2O. Live and learn. Following that bit of fun, Tim gets word that Marty and Nancy are coming to town, and he invited them to stay over. They left the babies with Mom, so it looks like they'll all be having a good time. Marty's up for a big job interview, which could mean a permanent relocation to Detroit, while Nancy is preoccupied with losing baby fat. As in the fat she accumulated while pregnant. I don't know what she's talking about, she's got the bod of a goddess. Tim can't help but ogle his sister in-law and make a few subtle cracks about her jogging bra. So, Marty heads off to the interview, and Jill rushes out to get a gift for the bar mitzvah Randy was invited to (That's our B plot), and Nancy heads upstairs to take a hot shower. When Tim comes back inside from giving Marty a map, he finds the house mysteriously vacant.
Heading upstairs, he hears the shower running in the bathroom. He assumes it's Jill and, feeling a bit frisky, Tim strips down to nothing and rips open the shower curtain to reveal... not Jill! Well, awkward isn't a strong enough word to describe how Tim and Nancy feel, having seen themselves in their birthday suits. They try to justify it as just an accident, after all they are family, and it's nothing to really be ashamed about. Still, Tim thinks they should keep this under their hats. Soon this little incident will be forgotten. On the lighter side of the news, Marty got the job! They all go out to Big Mike's to celebrate, Tim and Nancy still feeling awkward around each other. Right when Nancy was about to seemingly spill the beans, Tim hears a song on the juke box and proposes they all dance. Inevitably, they switch partners, forcing Tim and Nancy together. They dance at arms' length, regardless of how weird they look. Unfortunately, secrets are hard to keep, as Nancy breaks the news to Jill and Marty. Reactions: Marty's upset that Tim saw his wife naked...though as a compromise, he asks if he'd like to see Jill naked. And Jill wasn't so much upset that Tim saw his sister in-law naked so much as he didn't tell her. However, they make amends by taking a shower together, and Marty gets a little payback of his own. I guess he wanted to see Tim naked too.
Hilarious is the word I'd use to describe this episode. Especially the scene in the bar. Mike saying, "all beef wieners, your choice of buns" was downright hysterical, Tim referring to the babies as "pooper troopers" was funny, even though poor Jill didn't get to play with them this time, Tim singing "I didn't mean to, I thought it was you" to LaCucaracha was a riot, there are just so many laughs to be had in this one. It's well written and well acted. Tim Allen and Jensen Daggett come off as actual sibling in-laws...and I don't mind reiterating that Ms. Daggett has got one gorgeous body. Horror fans may recognize her from Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan. As for this show, I definitely recommend The Naked Truth, it's really funny and it bares all.
