It's nice to see Lynn getting a spotlight at last but the material isn't particularly good. Her constant tantrums over Eric's death get a bit wearing after a while, Helena Bozich's talents seem to be better served by the quietly introspective way she considers his life at the start than in overplayed outbursts. An attempt to fill in her back story unfortunately results in a patronising anti-Christian speech from Floss.Tom earns plaudits for actually considering Lynn's argument, in stark contrast to Pippa's dogmatic "We did the right thing" attitude, ignoring the fact they spent thousands to make up for Carly's bad behaviour.Don's bemused "I didn't hear you knock" when Lynn storms into his office is classic.
Alf gets a nice counterpoint to Ailsa's scene in the previous episode when he reflects on their relationship. The scene of him winding up Frank, Steven and Roo without a clue what's really going on is amusing and topped by the subsequent Steven/Roo scene where he casually sidesteps her attempts to admonish him.
