... really? This is it?
I had just watched a long Youtube series on this fraud with details on papers, experiments, people involved, charts, where he lied and how. Then I decided to watch a professional version of the same story as the Youtube series was great and this surely would be even deeper. Nope, not close. This is a shallow and weak overview of the research fraud. Largely the doc focuses on presenting the concepts behind nanotechnology. Not technical stuff just vague future promises. And Michio Kaku is there to spread his own misinformation about how society as we know it is doomed. He's a drama queen as always. He was quite big back then, but is now known for being that weird guy spreading misinformation online.
We get very little info about the fraud itself. The Youtube video made by a single guy had 100 times more info than this. And you really feel like they are barely even explaining who these people are or what they did. They just say he made a great discovery then they talk about random nanotech stuff and then return to the story by now claiming it was all a fraud. They don't explain how he got away with it for years or how he lied 100 times to various people about various details. This is such a lazy doc that I'm amazed they let this one through. I really expected better. It's also filled with bad music and weird sound effects. Overall it's quite pointless. Shameful.
