The eyes can mislead, a smile can lie, but the shoes always tell the truth.

Warning: Spoilers
Now this is what I am talking about: an outbreak of meningitis with an understaffed hospital that requires the entire team of doctors and nurses to check patients, a 12-year-old diver with seizures that can't be explained, and interviews for Cameron's position after she quit.

All of this makes for some very interesting medicine. Using old equipment, because they can't get to the new stuff, using procedures that were replaced by the CAT scan, meeting in bathrooms, and discovering something in the blood that you would never expect in a 12-year-old, they manage to get the girl cured, the exposed people out the door, and, yes, House finds a way to get Cameron back.

Marvelous!

Warning: Spoilers
I always liked this one but there are a lot things that wouldn't fly today. House and Cuddy's banter particularly in an episode like this one . Cuddy's idea of what a hospital administrator wears gets stranger and she thinks it's okay to dress a certain way because she's pretty? But ugly women couldn't? Cameron blackmailing House for a date to come back to work?

Chase probably had some of House's taking minor revenge after being Vogler's mole but then it's pretty much dropped after this?

Cuddy still blames House over getting rid of Vogler? She does know why after all nearly everyone is being fired or decides to quit

The case I enjoyed but looking back it took them forever to figure out she's pregnant ?

I think it's an entertaining episode. I particularly enjoyed Foreman I rated it a ten early on but now it's down slightly for the various problems it has . The fact that it is an episode that is still watchable brings it up some.

A welcome change

An outbreak of bacterial meningitis at a heavily attended school swim meet means House and his colleagues must cope with dozens of people being bused to the clinic to ascertain if they are infected. One 12-year-old girl, played winningly by Skye Bartusiak, seems to have something altogether different going on. You can guess, but you will be wrong. House splits his time between treating her and checking on the seemingly endless stream of clinic arrivals. Cameron returns, but on one condition: She demands a date with House. This series clearly costs some bucks to put together, and this is no more evident than in this very busy episode. Some real ERs and clinics would probably love to have access to all the paraphernalia and equipment seen on this fictional N.J. setup.

HOUSE BEING HOUSE...

Warning: Spoilers
Just a really compelling storyline as House is juggling the crisis at the hospital, while simultaneously finding the proverbial needle in said same hay pile! To spite his patient being at ground zero of the event, there is still something more complicated at play and that thing is further exacerbated by her being a minor (apparently according to this the age of 12 is consensual in New Jersey?)

The overall magic of episodes like this however, are less about the illness, and more about how House's brain works (which, arguably, is an illness in and of, itself LOL) and that is always an enjoyable trip.

Oh, and for the record (and I know I'm using 2021 eyes to look back at 2005, but...) that whole Cameron essentially blackmails House into a date is both weird, a bit creepy and even bordering on legit cringey. Just sayin - if all things are to equal - ewwww!
