Season two of "How to Marry a Millionaire" opens with Barbara Eden now deservedly having top billing. Throughout the first season Lori Nelson felt she was the biggest name and was unsatisfied with her role. She left the series after the first season, with Merry Anders conversely stating she was fired when the production company heard her remarks. So enters a new character...
Loco (Barbara Eden) and Mike (Merry Anders) are returning to their Tower House penthouse on Park Avenue from Greta's wedding. She has married a gas station manager and moved to California. Building Manager Mr. Tobey (Joseph Kearns) offers to let them out of their lease, wishing to be rid of them. They wish to stay and he agrees, but threatens to throw them out with just one more violation of their lease. Loco and Mike try to find another roommate to shoulder the burden of expenses. They place a classified ad in the newspaper. An entertainment couple, Charlie (Martin Mason) and Edna (Connie Davis), with an animal act, are at the office drafting a classified for a trained monkey. Loco accidentally switches her name to that ad and they are soon besieged by callers with monkeys. Mr. Tobey gets the worst of the ordeal and evicts the ladies. The newspaper clerk John R. Hobson Jr. (John Garrett) arrives with Gwen Kirby (Lisa Gaye), a young woman looking for roommates. The girls hit it off instantly, but will they have a place to stay?
