Apartment Manager Mr. Tobey (Joseph Kearns) informs the ladies that Mr. J.R. Bottomley (Willard Waterman), the new owner, will evict them with one more infraction of their lease. The ladies receive a large crate from their acquaintance Mr. John Albright. When they open it a seal pops out with a card explaining that he thought it would be fun for them and that the seal's name is Sylvester. They try to hide it from Mr. Tobey and Mr. Bottomless, as well as Mike's (Merry Anders) date Paul Wadsworth (Ross Ford) and his mother (Lela Bliss).
