Emmaline Henry debuts as Mrs. Amanda Bellows
kevinolzak20 November 2016
"The World's Greatest Lover," the 44th episode, marked the debut of Emmaline Henry as Dr. Bellows' attractive wife Amanda, who always spends an inordinate amount of time flirting with Major Nelson, much to her husband's annoyance. Major Healey insists that he's dating plenty of girls when he continuously strikes out. One well intentioned blink and Roger becomes irresistible to women, even the married Amanda Bellows. Previously shot down by secretary Evelyn (Julie Gregg), he now finds her eager to go out that night, despite objections from her jealous gangster fiancée Morgan (John Milford). One interruption after another has Dr. Bellows wondering when Major Healey has time to work! Roger is at first delighted to be so popular, before Dr. Bellows decides to eliminate the competition by sending Major Healey to the Aleutians. Mrs. Bellows is introduced to Major Nelson in her husband's office: "my husband talks about you night and day!"
