Warning: Spoilers
Trouble beings when at new neighbor Betty Ramsey's prodding Lucy overspends on new furniture. Betty maybe be the first woman who can push Lucy around . She isn't mean but she is a match for Lucy and also under the false impression the Ricardo's don't have money issues.

Lucy calls for Fred and Ethel to come to Connecticut so they can buffer Ricky's anger when he finds out about the furniture cost . They do but not before Lucy tries to explain things to Betty and Ricky tries to do the same with her husband Ralph that they need to return it but the Ramsey's taking it the wrong way. Ralph and Ricky come to blows so do Little Ricky and Bruce Ramsey ( the Ramsey's son) .

Ethel and Fred arrive just before everyone storms in yelling after the fights . Fred "I thought people moved to the country for peace and quiet?" . They keep yelling and finally Ethel and Fred quite everyone down. Ethel " Lucy " Lucy " what ?" Ethel " aren't you going to introduce us?" Lucy " our friends the Mertz's , our enemies the Ramsey's ".

The fighting goes on again but Ethel settles it telling the Ramsey's it only the cost of the furniture. The Ramsey's understand being in the same boat . Ricky also gets a guest spot at Ralph's television station and the pay coves the cost of the furniture!

New Furniture (again)
FloRidaDude7910 March 2023
The basis of this episode is a recycled one as Lucy has had more new furniture/redecorating episodes than most other shows. So the concept isn't new but it still has some truly funny parts. My problem is that during the initial conversation with her new neighbor (Betty Ramsey) Lucy initially wants to keep some of the old pieces of furniture and instead of explaining why she HAS to keep it she goes along with her neighbors advice. While setting up the deal with a furniture dealer, Betty states that she can save her 40% off retail and that trading in the old furniture would save her even more money. If Betty believed that money was of no object, what was with all the "savings" about? Since Lucy was getting a deal, why wouldn't she just say that she was on a budget? Smh...
