A really sad case

Remember this is Mississippi where this series is set and not New York and the death penalty application is very real here. There is outrage over the shotgun homicide of two elderly people and public opinion wants the lethal injection.

One of the two of the three apprehended Courtney Gains is a walking advertisement for capital punishment. He was the one who did the deed with the shotgun and also killed one of the other perpetrators. The second arrested is Wayne Brady a retarded kid who can't read and is a gentle soul who watches cartoons because he can't understand things above that level.

Still DA Wilbur Fitzgerald might be pressured into seeking the death penalty. For both. Attorneys Stacy Keach and Rosemary Murphy they have their work cut out for them.

Keach who is retired answers a call to conscience and works out a solution. The one you won't forget is Wayne Brady, a gentle soul who can't comprehend that goes in around him.
