Patrice Chanel an old friend of Althea Tibbs from Philadelphia arrives in Sparta rather unexpectedly though it sure pleases AnneMarie Johnson. As it turns out
she meets Officer Wilson Sweet and Johnson plays matchmaker.
It works and Geoffrey Thorne and Chanel are attracted to each other. But Chanel has one big problem, she's a fugitive running from Philadelphia from a scandal involving her married boyfriend who was an embezzler and she killed blackmailer in Sparta. And of course Howard Rollins is the detective on the case.
This is a sad and bittersweet episode about true love coming too late for one of the lovers. Big kudos to Patrice Chanel and to regulars Rollins, johnson, and Thorne.
