One bitter woman
bkoganbing8 October 2020
Fran Bennett as Virgil Tibbs's Aunt Ruda makes a return appearance in this episode and it couldn't come at a worse time for Bubba Skinner. She happens to be the only eye witness to Alan Autry trying to apprehend an armed felon wgo with two others was caught robbing a pawn shop. The gun went off twice killing the perpetrator who was only a kid.

This shooting was an accident, but Bennett won't back up Autry. She's still grieving and bitter over the shooting by Rollins of her own son, his cousin that left him a paraplegic.

Bennett really dominates this episode, she gives a wonderful performance of a grief stricken woman. One you won't forget.
