Quite an uninspiring half an hour spent except for the cafe bit. 5 secs of Oliver Reed slow dancing in the background in sleazy 'French' cafe which the police drove to on the left hand side of the road. You cant beat it.

The Money Game

Baron Untermeyer is a reputed financier who has invited a financial journalist for an exclusive interview. He is due to retire because of ill health. It is a short interview as the Baron dies.
The journalist immediately phones his news desk and then promptly disappears.
The news of the Baron's death is a shock to Baron Untermeyer. He is actually alive and well. This was all a complex scam to send share prices down and someone to pick them up cheap, especially when the news of Baron Untermeyer's wellbeing leaks.
This is a job for Interpol when the dead body of the financial journalist turns up.
The Baron also wants to know who has cooked up this scheme.
Inspector Duval thinks that someone close to the Baron pulled this scam. The Baron will hear none of this. Makes you wonder just how bright the Baron really is and why he has such pull in the financial markets.
The climax and the fight scene at the end were poorly staged. The Baron really seems to be running a third rate outfit.
Walter Gotell plays the local police chief who is pleased that Duval is on the case.
Oliver Reed is an uncredited extra. I assumed he remained sober.
