Although Dominic Frontiere is credited with the score, aside from the closing theme music, there is very little original scoring. Pre-existing Frontiere music is "tracked" from other TV shows, including "Stoney Burke," "The Outer Limits," "12 O'clock High" and a failed pilot called "Stryker: Fanfare for a Death Scene."
The real-life location of Kinney is the town of Temecula, located some 85 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles. When David goes to check out Kinney's hydroelectric station it appears that the station is located just a few hundred yards outside of town. In reality, the station is Power Plant #2, San Francisquito Canyon, approximately 130 miles northwest of Temecula.
