This episode totally belongs to Gail Edwards - from the fun idea of Dot actually being on time because her allergy medication is making her more alert, to her hilarious "stoned" act in the second half - this is a total Dot episode. With Ann Jillian leaving the series soon, Edwards will become the "rock" of the show during the Sheryl Lee Ralph era. She is already proving herself to be a standout comedienne here compared to Youngfellow and Bernard.
Like the other "crisis" episodes this season, the climax where they apprehend the bad guys comes off as very amateurish and brings the installment down a notch.
The current version airing on TV and streaming services is missing a small part around the 7:00 mark where Sonny sings a short medley of the 1812 Overture, The Star-Spangled Banner, and The Ballad of New Orleans.
