Sonny's car breaks down on the way to Vegas, and he and the girls spend the night in a run down motel in this comic riff of Alfred Hitchcock's PSYCHO that includes taxidermy, a peephole, a butcher knife, and a schizo innkeeper.
A fan favorite and another good change-of-pace episode even if we already can guess where the story is going and none of them are actually going to die.
Real-life brothers Timothy and Patrick Slack play the "Norman" and Mother characters. This was an unusual move as most sitcoms would have used one actor for both roles and the old split-screen trick. This way was effective but we never learn anything else about either character, so the ending is a little disappointing.
Still, this one gets points for uniqueness.
