Marco Bergman has built up a fashion empire, residing in an exquisite house with his son Claude and daughter Louise. So why on Earth would he chose to jump to his death, and more curious why would he throw his beloved parrot to its death also?
This must rank as one of the best episodes in the show's history, it boasts some really funny moments, notably the sexual tension between Jonathan and Carla. It boasts one of the cleverest plots I can remember, the scene where Donna witnesses her attacker unmask, and it has an incredibly dark ending. I feel those elements combine incredibly well to create an excellent piece of drama.
Maureen Lipman is outstanding as Louise, there is such a great cast, including a small part for Jeffrey Segal, who was fondly remembered as being Mr Perkins, one of The Meaker's neighbours from Rentaghost.
Truly excellent. 9/10
