A strong start to the 2nd series of the legal drama
TheLittleSongbird16 April 2010
Kavanagh QC is a wonderful legal drama, and this is a strong episode. It starts off a little slow, but the acting, music and camera work make it enjoyable. The camera work is beautiful once again, and the music is lovely. The story concerns a man accused of killing another in a riot, and he forever protests his innocence and that his girlfriend committed the crime, this moves along at a reasonable pace, and is nicely balanced with a couple of subplots such as Jeremy forming a sort of relationship with a woman he acquitted, and Kavanagh finding out in one of the better scenes of the episode about Kate and her tutor. The acting is typically fine, with an excellent(as per usual) John Thaw, a calculating Dorlay Rosen and Stuart Laing in an early role. Overall, strong and very good. 9/10 Bethany Cox

Warning: Spoilers
Here we apparently have a glimpse of the privileged barrister obeying the 'Cab Rank Principal', having to represent one of the "Rent a Mob" political agitators.

Then we see Kavanagh QC reminiscing with his wife Lizzie, and him asking her how she felt on the Anti Vietnam War demos.

Jeremy Aldermarten is understandably flattered when a female client is more than happy to express her gratitude, but he really must learn the lessons of his own vanity.
