Preity Strikes Back!
Sherazade21 October 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Karan tried to make this episode as boring as humanly possible by beating the "Preity + Saif" rumour thing to a severe death. I mean, the dude kept asking the pair over and over again if there was any truth to the rumours that there is more than friendship between them. It was borderline annoying and not to mention made this episode quite boring.

Thankful, there was the ever "BUBBLY" (Yes I said it) and lively Preity to save the day, successfully bringing even the reclusive Saif out of his shell with her zest and refusal to be talked down. I thought it was very rude of Karan to introduce Preity as a talkative then proceed to try and shut her up every single time she tried to liven the drowsy segment. He kept asking the same questions and whenever she tried to not make that obvious, he shut her up. Very rude!

Anyhow, avid followers of the show would remember the very first episode in which Kajol took swipes at Preity's acting & personal skills and in this episode, Preity (not one to take being stung laying down) struck back at Kajol by indirectly implying that certain real-life couples don't have on screen chemistry. OUCH!

The high point of this interview, IMHO was when Saif & Preity shared a story about an accident that occurred on the movie set of a film they were both starring in. Saif got hurt and had to endure over 100 stitches to his lacerated head and Preity was the only cast or crew member who stood by his side and saw to it that he got the utmost attention and care. She stood by his hospital bed even when the director ran away and endured an earful from one of Saif's uncles whom she'd called to inform about the bad news. Awwwww! :-)

So what if she talks a lot, she's an extrovert and that is certainly not a crime. The bottom line is that she is as nice in real life as she is on screen and that's what matters the most. Rock on Preity!
