When Kojak and McNeil are in the car before McNeil goes up to Mrs Temple, Kojak has a cigarette in his mouth. In the next frame as McNeil is leaving the car, Kojak no longer has the cigarette.
This is one of many cases where the outdoor scenes are supposed to take place in a cold location with snow on the ground, yet it's completely obvious that the "snow" is just foam/suds sprayed around. This was common in '70s TV shows.
When Captain McNeil & Kojak are leaving Mrs. Temple's house, Captain McNeil calls her Mrs. Marston, which is the name of the murder victim.
