Tom Banning (Tom Tryon) is a scientist at his father-in-law's R. Randolph Wetherill's (David Lewis) firm. Banning is the front runner for taking over the company, but Wetherill wants to be sure about his capabilities, so he makes Banning undergo psychological testing. Banning doesn't like the idea, but his wife Janet (Myrna Fahey) supports her father, much to Banning's chagrin. Marianne Scott (Pippa Scott) is conducting the testing, but after a particular stressful social interaction, Banning and her find themselves attracted to each other. The straw that breaks the camel's back is a financial squeeze, as Banning desperately gets involved in an industrial espionage scheme with acquaintance Alan Parsons (Liam Sullivan). Banning soon finds himself being blackmailed with both his personal and professional reputations on the line. He reaches out to Marianne, not knowing she is working for Parsons. Banning then decides to come clean with his wife, who is still turning to her father for support. Parsons decides to increase his stranglehold on Banning by kidnapping his wife. Banning is now faced with deciding his and his wife's destiny, but is it too late? As seen on Retro TV Network, June 2009.
