A distant cabin, which we can tell (or suppose) because we only see vegetation through the big windows in the room. Three terrorists negotiating for an airborne viral bomb that attacks the nervous system, the two who are buying doubt the potency and efficacy of the venom. The one selling asks his putative son to carry the cat to the basement. Once his putative son, Andy, and the cat are in the basement, he hermetically closes the door by remote control and kills them both to prove the lethality of the viral weapon to his buyers. The name of the killer is Perry Bauer.
On the other side we have Section One making plans to infiltrate Bauer's organization by replacing a married couple of delinquents with Nikita and Michael who will play to be a couple during the mission. I like the way in which the fun-loving, liberal personality of the couple is set on screen just with a quick glance at their clothing, physical movements and attitude before Nikita ambushes them in their limo, and also very stylishly, gently asks them to give her their weapons.
Later, as in many other episodes, we see someone from the Section, in this case Madeline giving the instructions they think will make them crack faster during the interrogatory. Madeline told them that the first one to talk will go free and the other will never see the light of the day again. Even when the episode is good enough without them, I'd have liked them to show us some of the interrogatory sessions... ...According to Madeline both of them cracked... ...Nikita asks which of them will go free...Madeline only asks her to get prepared for the mission.
In her "office" Madeline explains Nikita and Michael the details of the mission and tells them that Bauer will very probably hit on both Nikita and Michael. Fake wedding rings are given and the mission starts. Till this point of the story our main concern is about catching the terrorist before he uses the viral bomb and our main interest concerning the characters is to see what possible sentiments arise between Nikita and Michael during the mission.
Nikita and Michael win the terrorist's approval by defeating his forces after he had given the order of killing them.
During their time with the terrorist they will have to keep pretending to be a married couple and maybe have to accept or at least withstand his advances in order of not spoiling all the effort in the mission.
What will Section 1 will do once they have captured Perry Bauer? --- ---
