Excellent drama, more engaging then previous episodes.

I'll admit to never having heard of Charlotte Bryant, nor the rather grizzly case or her husband's murder.

I would have to say that despite being a little known story, I found this episode perhaps the most engaging to date. The story is a particularly interesting one, so much of it makes little sense, like why were so many people living in that house? Why was Charlotte allowed to be called to give evidence?

Two very strong performances, Rita Tushingham and George Baker are both particularly strong, the whole production is very good. It's well made, and progresses much quicker then previous episodes, it's richer in content. No boring cell room scenes to speak of, but plenty of intriguing courtroom action.

An interesting scene where young Lily is called to give evidence.

Very worthwhile watching this one. 8/10
