This Laramie story has Robert Fuller vouching for Gary Clarke an old saddle buddy for a job with the stagecoach line. But all Clarke has in mind is to be the inside man for a robbery he and Dennis Patrick plan to pull off. In somewhat spectacular fashion as well with some sabotage.
When Fuller and John Smith figure it out they realize Clarke was responsible and Fuller trails him to Montana. There in addition to the robbers he and later Smith have to deal with a crooked marshal in Robert Wilkie and someone a lot more pleasant in saloon girl Allison Hayes.
Wilkie is always a bad dude in any film, especially westerns. As for Fuller and Clarke they come close to an early entombment.
