Before they leave town, an attempt is made to steal the powerful explosive and on the way they are diverted to Flat Wells by a man saying the road is rough. Stopping for the night in the town of Flat Wells, the rangers are distracted by a diversion while the wagon is driven off after the Professor is shot and Chad is hung by his heels. The rangers take off in pursuit. Chad nearly catches the thief, only to have him slip by in disguise but on foot. He left them with the wagon and a jar of water. The rangers then realize they are dealing with a quick change artist. They track him down but he nearly outwits them by mimicking Cotton's voice to decoy them. However, Chad is able to swipe the canteen of explosives but Cotton has to make the catch of the day to save them all.—Christopher D. <imdbreviews@gmail.com>
