Beware the Vanilla Slice

If you want to know the meaning of applied psychology. Howard gives an example. He plans to stay with Pearl despite coaxing Clegg to ask if he wants to go out.

Howard figures that Pearl will soon get tired of him hanging about in the house. However a vanilla slice gives the game away and Howard is soon in trouble.

Truly is a victim of Auntie Wainwright. She sold him a duff lawnmower even though he does not have a lawn. All he needs to do is sell it on, probably someone who hangs around with a certain lady in a tight skirt who does not want his wife to find out.

Doggy Barnes is an old acquaintance who does show up in this episode. He challenges Compo to thumpy-dump. It sounds like something Little John would get up to with Robin Hood.

More amusing was Eli playing thumpy-dump own his own and manages to fall into the river.

It was another average episode. Not sure I approve of Howard being the victim of blackmail, each time the trio wants a mug to do something or sell something to.

I noticed the scenes in Ivy's cafe were bathed in a yellow filter. It was more custard slice than vanilla.
