"Closure Part 2" is the second part of the absolutely great tenth episode of Season 1, also called "Closure", which was one of the better episodes of a consistently solid season where even the weakest episodes were still decent. What made that episode as great as it was is evident here too and even better. Those good things in the first part were very good and more indeed, but in the second part of "Closure" those good things are executed greatly.
While the previous two Season 2 episodes were very good and nearly great, "Closure Part 2" (the only episode of the show to have Part 2 in the title) improves on those first two episodes and is as good as the first "Closure" part that it follows on from. And actually perhaps even better. It does improve on one thing, not having the not particularly necessary Olivia and Cassidy (who is not here, having left towards the end of the previous season) subplot, which was not as interesting as the case and the only not so great thing about that episode.
The episode is as slick as stylish as the previous episodes, and like the previous two episodes of the second season a sharper look and tighter editing is evident. The music is wisely used quite sparingly, letting the dialogue really speak as necessary, and avoids too much intrusion or melodrama. The main theme sticks in the head.
Script is tightly structured and a lot of thought went into it. Once again, the case is harrowing and poignant and even if the outcome is somewhat more satisfying than before one can see what what happened affected Harper and what she and others have to go through to get justice. Harper is no less relatable and Cleary is more evil this time too, some of his dialogue makes one really feel uneased by his sliminess.
Can't fault the acting of the regulars, or the touching Tracy Pollan and even creepier Neil Maffin.
Overall, fabulous and a more satisfying end to a great first season episode. 10/10
