• Clark Kent : Remember that TV show, The Fugitive? Richard Kimble was the fugitive. He was wrongly convicted, and he escaped to prove his innocence, and eventually he did.

  Lois Lane : How long did it take?

  Clark Kent : I think the show ran for 4 years.

  Lois Lane : Clark, what do you mean you're taking me out of here? I lay on that cot every single night secretly wishing that that's just what you'll do, but you can't. Don't you understand what that would do to you?

  Superman : The issue here isn't me, it's you. You are the person that I love more than anything in life. I'm not going to watch my wife sit in jail waiting to die for something she didn't do, no matter what happens to me.

  Lois Lane : But you spent your life serving justice.

  Superman : Exactly, and you're innocent. Together, we're going to prove that. Now, if that isn't serving justice, I don't know what is.

  Lois Lane : You... being irrational. I sort of love that.

  Superman : Come on.

  [opens the cell door] 

  Lois Lane : You sure about this?

  Superman : I'm sure that I love you.

• Clark Kent : They wanna execute my wife, Perry.

  Perry White : Son, it's uh... It's late--you've been through hell. Uh, why don't ya go on home?

  Clark Kent : There's nothin' there for me.

  Perry White : Clark, I've been on the phone with the DA all day. I never testified against Lois--you believe me, don't you?

  Clark Kent : Of course I believe ya, Chief. It was a trick, ya know, we'll figure it out, but right now, I just...

  Perry White : Yeah... Yeah, yeah sure. If there's anything I can do...

  Lois Lane : That's not so awful.

  Clark Kent : Two hundred threatened to kill you.

  Clark Kent : Honey you are not a hardened criminal.

  Lois Lane : Well I'm a wanted fugitive.

  Clark Kent : There's a big difference.

  Lois Lane : [sarcastically]  That's very comforting.

• Lois Lane : I'm sorry I got a little upset in the car.

  Clark Kent : The first time you hear yourself called "Mad Dog" you get upset. Anyone would.

• Lois Lane : Isn't this place called The Cozy Motel?

  Clark Kent : Yeah.

  Lois Lane : Well, they lied.

  Clark Kent : Sorry about the room Honey but it's probably the best we are going to do tonight.

  Lois Lane : Well you know, we never did have an out of town honeymoon.

  Clark Kent : And this is definitely out of town.

• Clark Kent : Well I'll keep my eye peeled for that lunatic. A guy can never be too careful. Thanks officer.

  State Trooper : Thank you sir.

  [Clark closes the door and Lois comes out of hiding] 

  Lois Lane : That lunatic? A guy can never be too careful?

  Clark Kent : Honey what did you want me to say? Lighten up officer I'm married to that lunatic.

  Lois Lane : Well even if I am a lunatic I'm still YOUR lunatic.

  Clark Kent : You know that's what I think Honey.

• Lois Lane : You know, all I ever wanted to do is get to the bottom of a problem and make it better. I'm starting to think people don't even appreciate that anymore. All they do is take The Daily Planet and wrap old fish in it. And I get convicted of murder.

  Clark Kent : Well I appreciate it Honey.

• Clark Kent : Don't be upset Honey. You follow your heart. You do the right thing.

• Perry White : Oh Clark, there you are. I've been worried sick about Lois. How is she?

  Clark Kent : How is she Chief? She's at large.

  Perry White : Yeah but how is she?

  Clark Kent : Are you assuming that I know where she is?

  Perry White : I'm assuming that I know you son.

  Clark Kent : [Looks around first]  She's doing okay Chief.

  Perry White : You tell her we love her.

  Clark Kent : Thanks Chief.

  Lois Lane : Yes Sweetheart.

  Clark Kent : Are you crazy? The guy who put you away is right in there.

  Lois Lane : You are upset, your suit's showing.

• Clark Kent : Finally we can spend our first quiet evening at home together.

  Lois Lane : Finally. Oh Clark, there was a time when I thought I would rather die than sit around with my husband watching TV and talking about the day. I gotta tell ya, it sounds wonderful.

  Clark Kent : [Hands her a glass of champagne]  Here's to us sitting around just being an old married couple.

  Lois Lane : Oh yeah that's us alright.

  Clark Kent : So how about the wallpaper? Do you think we should take it down and put it back up together so that we can *bond*?

  Lois Lane : Nah. I decided there are more important things the newlywed couple can do together to bond.

  [Kisses Clark] 

  Lois Lane : Race you upstairs!

  Lois Lane : [Lois takes off running]  No cheating, no super powers!

  [Clark runs after her at super speed and Lois screams then laughs when he catches her] 

• Lou : I know who you are.

  [Motorcycle cop pulls up outside] 

  Lou : Excuse me.

  Lois Lane : Well obviously the jig is up.

  Clark Kent : [Clark and Lois talk simultaneously]  Honey, Honey please I'm trying to Super-hear right now and when I'm Super-hearing and you're standing this close and you're talking at me it feels like you're sticking a knife in my head so Honey if you could stop for just a second...

  Lois Lane : [At the same time Clark is talking]  This is ridiculous I'm turning myself in cause I know what you're thinking you're thinking of doing something crazy like flying me out of here and I'm not letting you punish yourself any more than you already have so that is just the end of it...

  Clark Kent : Please!

  Lois Lane : I'm sorry. I'll stop talking.

  Clark Kent : Unfortunately so have they.

  Lou : [Comes back in]  I told him I hadn't seen anyone. I'm Lou. Like I said I know who you are. See everyday people like me we worry about keeping our families safe and our businesses open. We have small lives. You fight for us when we can't do it ourselves. I just want you to know we appreciate it. And I'm real sure you didn't kill anyone Miss Lane.

  Lois Lane : Great idea, go, let's see some tights!

  Clark Kent : I'm going, I'm going, jeez.

  Clark Kent : There is something I never quite got around to doing.

  [Picks Lois up and carries her over the threshold]

  Clark Kent : Now it's even more official... finally!

• State Trooper : [Lois is hiding in a cupboard from the cops, getting soaked by a dripping roof]  Was that a creak?

  Clark Kent : Was what a creak?

  State Trooper : Thought I heard a creak.

  Clark Kent : I didn't hear a creak.

  State Trooper : Could swear I heard a creak.

  Clark Kent : Wasn't a creak.

  State Trooper : No-o creak.

  Clark Kent : [Lois creaks again and the cop just looks at Clark]  No-o creak at all.

• Superman : Dr. Klein, I need to see you.

  Dr. Klein : You just saw me.

  Superman : No, I didn't.

  Dr. Klein : Yes, you did.

  Superman : Where did I see you?

  Dr. Klein : You know.

  Superman : No, I don't.

  Dr. Klein : You don't know?

  Superman : I have no idea.

  Dr. Klein : You and I didn't just go on a secret mission?

  Superman : No.

  Dr. Klein : We didn't remove the hybrid kryptonite?

  Superman : No.

  Dr. Klein : We didn't take it to safe keeping?

  Dr. Klein : Superman, forgive me, but you're losing it, my boy.
