Tim Dillon has worked hard collecting donations for the Trenton County Irrigation Project. But dastardly Martin Ludlow and his son Charlie steal the money and then murder Tim and throw his body into Satan's Gorge. The Ranger And Tonto find evidence of the murder, and The Ranger is lowered by ropes into the gorge to recover a shiny object, which turns out to be Tim's engraved watch. This is one time when Tonto rides Silver, in order to lower The Ranger and then pull him out of the gorge. The Ranger approaches Tim's daughter Madeleine with a plan to get the Ludlows to reveal where they hid the money. The Ranger tells her that "justice is the concern of every good citizen." Madeleine agrees to help, but both she and our heroes are playing a dangerous game. These Ludlows are vicious killers for sure. Pretty Lois Hall plays Madeleine. She appeared in almost every western TV series in the 1950s, including two appearances on The Lone Ranger.
