Jeff Austin was wrongfully convicted of robbery and murder. He is scheduled to hang the next day. His fiancé Ruth worked for the express company and she told Jeff of a secret money shipment being made by freight wagon. Jeff told his brother Jim and Jim told outlaw Luke Banner and it was Jim and Luke who stole the shipment. Ruth told the sheriff about Jeff knowing the shipment details, and Jeff refused to rat out his brother. Ruth and the Padre ask the Ranger and Tonto for help. But Luke shoots Jim when he wants to confess his crime. Jim is able to tell our heroes the facts before he dies. Luke has fled just across the border to New Laredo, where is he is safe from arrest. The Ranger will have to trick Luke into crossing the border and confessing his crimes. But how to do it? Maybe a disguise? All this trouble because Ruth couldn't keep a secret. Remember, loose lips sink ships!

Gail Davis plays Ruth. A few years after this episode, she would star in her own TV western series, "Annie Oakley."
