Cowardly Sheriff?
hogwrassler25 May 2021
The Ranger and Tonto investigate cattle rustling in the town of Lakeview. Newspaper owners Tom and Mary Turner know that dishonest cattle buyer Bradley is behind the crimes but can't prove it. Things get serious when Bradley's henchmen destroy the printing press in order to silence the editorials about him. The Ranger forces the seemingly coward of a sheriff to deputize him in order to arrest Bradley. It's all part of a bigger plan to expose all the outlaws and find out where they have been hiding the cattle they steal. But the sheriff may give it all away. The Ranger and Tonto's lives will depend on whether he is actually a coward or not.

North Dakota born Carol Thurston plays Mary Turner. She usually played ethnic roles and in Season 1 of The Lone Ranger she played gypsy girl Biata in the episode "Finders Keepers." But Carol is best remembered for her very first role, as Tremartimi in the 1945 Gary Cooper film, "The Story of Dr. Wassell." Carol played a Javanese girl in that one. Unfortunately, she died of a heart attack at the age of 49.
