That Cavendish Is A Pesky Varmint!
hogwrassler23 November 2020
Butch Cavendish breaks out of prison taking the warden's son, Johnny, as a hostage. Tonto checks Cavendish's known hideouts while the Ranger convinces the warden to release Gang member Matt Dooley. The Ranger follows Dooley towards Cavendish's location. Along the way, he enlists the aid of two spinster sisters, Effie and Essie Newton, to catch and hold Dooley while he continues on to Butch's hideout. Tonto has found the correct hideout but falls into Cavendish's trap and is captured. This Cavendish is one dangerous character.

Glenn Strange played Cavendish in the initial three series episodes, which introduced The Ranger and Tonto and resulted in Butch going off to prison. Glenn is back as Cavendish in episode 30 for the fourth and last time as that character. However, he would go on to appear in four more LR episodes, but as a different supporting character each time.
