Mission City is torn by two factions. Former Union and Confederate soldiers are at odds and violence seems to be coming. Storekeeper Proctor Davis appears to be a peacemaker, but in reality is putting in degenerate cafes (not saloons!) and gambling halls. The yanks and rebs can't put aside their differences long enough to clean up the town. And that's just the way Proctor and his henchman, Deputy Watts, want it. When Watts murders leading yank Hilton McCabe, the bad guys plan to frame leading reb Longstreet Turner for the crime. The Ranger and Tonto need yank Jess Chase and Turner to work together to expose Proctor and Watts and clean up the town. Can Chase and Turner trust each other enough to get the job done? It won't be easy. This episode features fine acting by the entire cast. The climax is a four man fistfight which does NOT include The Ranger and Tonto. This one is well worth watching.
