An intriguing start.

It's a typical start to a drama from the pen of Michael J. Bird, it's set in the Mediterranean, and all is not what it seems. The central couple Erik and Ann, appear to be the lotus eaters, two Brits abroad enjoying the life and climate of Crete, but of course things aren't what they seem to be.

There's a definite hint of espionage at work, the couple are intriguing, and both hiding pasts they'd seemingly like to forget.

Some lovely characters, and of course fine performances, but it's Wanda Ventham at this stage that I'm struck by.

I think I'll be binge watching this. 8/10
