Ex-pat David Clive and his live-in girlfriend Jennifer seek advice from Erik and Ann after David learns his bitchy ex-wife Lorna is bound for Crete. David, who has established himself as an up-and-coming artist, has no choice but to ask for a divorce from Lorna. Meanwhile, Jennifer's marital comments result in flashbacks for Ann of a violent incident within her own marriage to Erik. Noting Erik's playful friendship with Katerina, Ann considers sacking her. Erik has memories of a young girl who reminds him of Katerina. Lorna's presence on Crete creates conflict, particularly after she hosts a lavish party, inviting everyone on the island except for David and Jennifer. Just when David believes he has won the upper-hand in their emotional game, Lorna reveals a trump card.
