Ian McShane lost the mullet in the off-season so he's back to looking like an adult, just as he did in Series 1.
Although the episode starts off as a Harlequin Lovejoy, once he gets arrested for an assault he didn't commit and a painting he didn't steal the episode picks up steam.
Diane Parish as Beth finally gets something to do other than mumble into her tea as she die for nearly the entirety of Series 5. Caroline Langrishe as Charlotte is sitll super boring, however. She is a very pale imitation of Lady Jane.
Tinker is as charming as usual.
If you can avoid barfing in the first 10 minutes or so, the episode pays off in the end. Let's hope the rest of Series 6 focuses on adventure and less on Lovejoy making googly eyes at Charlotte.
