Who Dares, Sings
Prismark1021 May 2023
Lovejoy's old prison officer turns up. George Palmer (Peter Armitage) has retired from the prison service and he has some antique furniture to sell.

Lovejoy buys it for a few thousand pounds but it is Lovejoy who has been conned. The furniture was stolen and the robbed victims recognise it when they turn up to see Tinker perform in a pub with an old army buddy.

The old army friend is Linden Walker (John Wells) who desires a pair of antique silver bowls that belongs to his aunt. Linden needs the money to refurbish his pub/restaurant.

It is valued at over £40,000. Lovejoy needs to get it from Linden's aunt and there is something extra for him. Only the aunt wants to move in with Linden as she is on his own.

It is a story of both guest stars that are rather shifty. Linden has a history of not paying people. Palmer was a screw. Lovejoy finds himself trying to clear his name and still make a profit.

Once again Eric pretends to be something he is not cut out to be. Tinker was never an army officer.
